In July I attended the Common Purpose Frontrunner programme for young people who could become leaders in civil society. Now, I’ll be honest, it was a useful programme but I haven’t been able to reflect properly on what I learned while I was on it.

On October 10th they are holding a 360 Day. This is where all the graduates from Common Purpose are encouraged to spend a day out of their comfort zone and doing or reading something that they wouldn’t normally. This could even be meeting someone new and different and having a conversation about a topic you wouldn’t normally discuss.

I’ll be having a think about what I’ll be doing on 10/10, but I’d encourage you to take up the challenge. Think about what you could do on that day that would be outside of your comfort zone. It’s not a nice place to be but it helps you to see things differently.

If you read this and enjoyed it, why not share it?

  • My dad is a Common Purpose graduate and sent me the link to your blog. Really great! The 10/10 day challenge is a great idea too and something both he and I are going to try to do. They have all sorts of ideas on the main page of the website at http://www.commonpurpose360.org/360day.aspx. Not sure yet what I’m going to do, but I’ll be ‘out of my comfort zone’ that friday too!

Thanks for all your other great links too…

  • Thanks for the comment Anabelle, glad you like the blog. Hope you have a great day on 10/10.
